The Laowa 65mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine Lens - APS-C (Cine) - is a macro cinema lens with 24.4° angle of view on Super 35 sensors. The 2x magnification that can barely be found in the market, provides higher flexibility in shooting objects of different sizes. The large T2.9 is able to create a shallower depth of field. Using the APO design, the 3 extra-low dispersion elements managed to correct chromatic aberration which renders high image quality. The smooth focusing ring with around 270° focus ring rotation gives a pleasant shooting experience to cinematographers. A 77mm filter thread is designed to mount screw-in filters easily. The industrial standard of 0.8 mod gear on both aperture and focus rings is also applied. It is compact and easy to carry, weighing only around 550g.
The 100mm Macro Cine lens can focus infinity to 2X magnification along with a minimum working distance of 8cm. Extreme details of the objects can be captured. It is the world’s first 2X macro lens for Full Frame cameras.
The chromatic aberration (CA) in both in-focus and out-of-focus areas is suppressed to the minimum. The photos with less CA also avoid time-consuming post-production.
100mm T2.9 has 12 elements in 10 groups with 2 ED glasses, delivering stunning details and contrast from center to corner.
Optimized for film and video production, shooting efficiency is hugely improved for a smoother workflow. The lens equipped with 77mm filter thread and an industrial standard of 0.8 mod gear on both apertures and focus rings.
