This Canon RF mount Laowa 9mm T2.9 Zero-D Cine - Lens Canon RF Features markings in both feet and meters, covers up to Super35 sensors, and provides a wide 113° angle of view when using an APS-C sensor. It is well suited for outdoor and landscape shots locations such as aerial drone, underwater, indie, and vlogging productions, and it is optimized for digital cinematography with cinema cameras such as the RED KOMODO. It is lightweight and compact, so it is suitable for both handheld shooting and gimbal use, as well as tripod-mounted shooting. This lens comes in a black color exterior casing.
The 9mm cine lens features a maximum aperture of T2.9 with 15 elements in 10 groups. Its 7-blade aperture provides a soft, pleasing bokeh, a shallow depth of field with little to no distortion, and a 4.7" close focus distance. The focus and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 MOD gearing that will accommodate standard cine follow focus motors. It is also small in size, with a 58mm front diameter and a 55mm thread for adding filters. Focus and aperture markings are on the side of the lens to aid focus pullers. A hard-shell Pelican case with custom foam is included to protect and transport the lens.

Including a pair of aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements, the 13 elements in 9 groups optical design successfully controls both spherical and chromatic aberrations to the minimal. Bright T2.9 maximum aperture is well-suited for work under low-light condition. Focusing as close as 4.7″ (12cm), it allows filmmakers to compose with more flexibility and control shallow depth of field with wider perspective.
