Built around Nikon's revolutionary Z mount this camera is compact yet powerful, simple yet sophisticated and ready to grow with you.

The Z5 features a high-performing FX-format 24.3MP full-frame sensor and the EXPEED 6 Image Processing Engine delivering outstanding image quality and speed with a native sensitivity range of ISO 100-51200.

On the sensor you will find an advanced phase-detect autofocus system using 273 points covering 90% of the image area, and the sensor features 5-axis Vibration Reduction technology for stabilized photos and video regardless of the lens used. This advanced hybrid AF system will also benefit video as Nikon Z5 features UHD 4K recording at up to 30p

The Z5's slimmed-down design and light build maintains the weather sealing and ergonomics for which Nikon is known. The camera features multiple displays and screens for ease of use, including a1.27-cm/0.5-in. approx. 3690k-dot (Quad VGA) OLED electronic viewfinder ensuring clear viewing. The rear of the camera is equipped with a 3.2" tilting touchscreen LCD. For storage, the Z5 has dual SD card slots that is compatible with UHS-II. Additionally, the body is equipped with both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

5-axis In Body VR

AF system

A 273-point hybrid AF system covers 90% (approx.) of the frame for precise focus positioning. That means wherever your subject is in the frame, there’s almost certainly a focus point locked onto your subject. Face and eye detection autofocus for human and animals is available in stills shooting for perfect portraits every time.

Smooth and reliable video focusing is available in all video modes offering additional flexibility to adjust the focus speed and sensitivity for your video masterpiece.

Z Mount

17% larger internal diameter than Nikon’s acclaimed F Mount. It totally changes what’s possible with lens design. Enhanced low-light performance. Even illumination from corner-to-corner. Maximum apertures as wide as f/0.95. Faster data transfer between camera and lens. This is the ideal balance between mount diameter, large image sensor and flange focal


4K UHD Video

The new Nikon Z5 records amazing video, shoot 4K UHD footage using the advantages of mirrorless technology. Adjustable focusing speed and sensitivity can be adjusted for cinematic effect. Enjoy smooth reliable autofocus in video recording with minimal to no focus breathing when using NIKKOR Z lenses.

The Z5 also supports simultaneous time-lapse movie and interval timer shooting modes, creating both a movie and separate files for post-production.


Build Quality

The Nikon Z5 is weather sealed again dust, moisture and dirt, including sealing around all buttons and controls for extra peace of mind.

The magnesium alloy skeleton of the Z5 provides excellent strength to weight ratio and is made of the same material as Nikon's professional DSLRs.

Dual SD Cards
