Leica 8x42 Geovid R Binocular/Rangefinder

Leica fuses the image quality of a fully multi-coated optical path with the practicality of a 1100-meter laser rangefinder and integrated ballistics calculator to create their8x42 Geovid R Binocular/Rangefinder. Using an infrared laser rangefinder and a built-in inclinometer, the on-board computer adjusts the displayed range for more precise shot placement. An in-view 4-character LED display allows the observer to view the range without having to take their eyes off the subject. This version of the Geovid displays distances in yards and is controlled with a convenient single pushbutton.Complementing its ranging qualities, the Geovid sports Leica's proprietary anti-reflection lens coatings help to boost light transmission, and improve color and contrast. A generous exit pupil and a field of view that approaches wide-angle provide an immersive observational experience with competent low-light performance such as at dawn and dusk. Protecting the optics and electronics is a lightweight and durable aluminum alloy chassis that is nitrogen-filled for fogproof and waterproof performance in extreme conditions. It is wrapped in a protective armor that also provides a slip-resistant grip, especially in cold and wet weather.Optical Performance8x magnification42mm objectivesCompact roof prismsHDC anti-refection fully multi-coated optics improve light transmission, color fidelity, and contrast368 field of view at 1000 yards56 apparent viewing angleLaser RangefinderMeasures range in meters onlySimple one-button designFDA Class 1 eye-safe IR laserRange: 10 to 1100 metersMeasuring accuracy:1 meter to 350 meters2 meters to 700 meters0.5% past 700 metersSpot and Scan modesUse spot for stationary single measurementUse scan for continuous measurement to a moving or multiple targetsDisplayIn-view LEDFour-charactersAutomatically adjusts to ambient lightDisplays measurement in meters onlyEHR ballistics function:Utilizes a built-in inclinometer to measure angle to target relative
