Luxurious Alcantara® cushions with Rode's revolutionary CoolTech™ gel ensure maximum comfort, particularly when worn for extended periods, and the fully adjustable headband with their innovative FitLok™ locking system provides the perfect fit every time.
Each pair comes with a high-quality 2.4m straight black cable that is lightweight and unobtrusive, with 1.2m and coloured variants (pink, green, orange and blue) available separately. Their design is based around a custom voice coil with a four-layer ultra-high-tension aluminium alloy as its core, which is coupled to an ultra-stiff triple-layer Mylar® diaphragm. Together with a rare-earth neodymium magnet, these high-grade components ensure optimal acoustic and electrical performance for extremely low levels of distortion and a highly accurate response across a broad frequency range.
These characteristics are further enhanced by the unique contoured earcup construction. The included short XLR cable—designed for use with the supplied pistol grip—features Neutrik and Switchcraft connectors and an integrated strain-relief junction box.
Windshield and Windscreen for Reduction of Wind Noise
The NTG5 has a foam windscreen to reduce unwanted light wind noise. For maximum reduction of wind noise in indoor or outdoor environments, swap the windscreen for the included furry windshield.
The Rode Blimp Windshield is the ultimate windshield and shock mounting system for RØDE shotgun microphones, as well as any third-party shotgun microphone up to 325mm in length. It features a Rycote® Lyre® suspension system for superior isolation from handling noise, plus an ultra-lightweight and ergonomic handle. Housed inside the grip is a heavy-duty Mogami® cable that splits via a junction box to a flexible thin cable inside the Blimp, which minimise the transference of vibration to the microphone.
The Blimp attaches to any standard boompole with a 3/8-inch thread attachment at the base. The Universal Blimp Mount is available as an option to remove the handle when the Blimp is being used primarily on a boompole. The Dead Wombat windshield, caring brush and tail/patch cable are included.
The Rode Boompole is a precision-balanced professional boompole for location recording. Machined from high-grade, lightweight aluminium, the Boompole allows you to mount your microphone securely and swivel it in a range of directions to easily follow your sound source. It has a reach of 3.3 metres and weighs 980 grams.
