The Laowa 100mm T2.9 2X Macro APO Cine Lens - (Cine) - is a macro cinema lens with 26.1°angle of view on Full Frame sensors. The large aperture of T2.9 is able to create shallower depth of field. Its 2x magnification makes it stand out from the market, offering an extra flexibility in shootings. Its stepless aperture ring offers smooth iris control. A standard 77mm filter thread is designed to mount screw-in filters easily. Industrial standard of 0.8 mod gears on both aperture and focus rings is also applied. It weighs around 957g.
The 65mm & 100mm macro lenses can focus infinity to 2x magnification along with a minimum focusing distance of 8cm (17cm) and 7.1cm (24.7cm) respectively. A lot more details of the objects can be captured. The combination of Macro and cinema lenses is rarely to be found in the market.
The chromatic aberration (CA) at both in-focus and out-of-focus area (Longitudinal CA) is controlled to the minimal. The photos of less CA also avoid time-consuming postproduction.
65mm and 100mm macro cine lens consists of 3 and 2 ELD glasses respectively. Both lenses are able to deliver stunning details and contrast from centre to corner.
The 65mm and 100mm cine lens are assembled with 9 and 13 aperture blades respectively, creating round and pleasant bokeh.
