Outstanding image quality with high resolution

Three aspherical elements are ideally positioned to suppress field curvature and astigmatism, both of which are common problems in ultra wide angle lenses. The optical path also includes two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements that effectively subdue chromatic aberration. An ED aspherical element further contributes to high resolution right out to the image edges. A circular aperture and carefully designed spherical aberration work together to deliver smooth, natural-looking G Lens bokeh that can contribute to impressive imagery.

High-thrust linear motors, optimized optics, and responsive control add up to extraordinarily precise AF performance. The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G tracks even fast-moving subjects smoothly and silently.

New responsive electronic internal power zoom system

The subtlest zoom ring rotation is precisely detected and instantly converted to actual zoom operation. It supports precise framing for video shooting as well as still shooting. With compatible camera bodies, customizing the zoom ring direction is also possible.

Minimized focus breathing

The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G reduces focus breathing optically to ensure that the highest quality images are easily captured. The lens also support the breathing compensation function provided in compatible α series bodies, further reducing unwanted angle of view shifts during focusing.

Constant lens length

Internal focusing and internal power zoom design keeps the barrel length constant and offers optimum balance for gimbal-mounted movie shooting.

Linear Response MF support

The E PZ 10-20mm F4 G provides excellent response and fine linear focus control for fast, accurate manual focusing.
