TAMRON SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD
More features for better photos
This lens is the apex of Tamron telephoto zooms in a compact package that’s the smallest** in its class. VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilisation boosts the low-light shooting capacity of this fast-aperture lens, while Tamron’s proprietary USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) motor delivers speedy, quiet, accurate autofocus that captures those decisive moments.
For sport, journalism, fashion, studio portraiture, weddings and many other applications, the Tamron 70-200mm F/2.8 will exceed your expectations every time.
VC (Vibration Compensation)
This lens is equipped with a VC mechanism that delivers sharp and vivid viewfinder images. Even in low-light situations, camera shake is reduced to enable stress-free handheld photography.
Full-time manual focus
Fine focus adjustments using manual focus can be made during autofocus shooting, without the need to change focus mode.
Rounded diaphragm
The rounded outline diaphragm of the lens is retained even when stopped down to f/5.6. Blur highlights in a photo reflect the shape of the aperture, and they are a much more prominent feature at wider apertures. In this high-speed lens, this important optical design element results in more attractive, natural-looking images.
Moisture resistance adds protection
Moisture-resistant body construction helps prevent water from penetrating the lens, making it well suited ideal for travel and shooting outdoors.
Leading-edge image quality
One special XLD (Extra Low Dispersion) glass* and four LD (Low Dispersion) elements combine to provide a new level of correction for chromatic aberration. A new advanced optical design delivers excellent contrast and resolution.
* The Sony mount does not include VC, as Sony digital SLR bodies include image stabilisation functionality. The Sony lens is designated as “SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di USD”.
