The RODECaster Video Core features nine mix-effect layers for simultaneous preview and programme views. It includes two downstream keyers for overlays and logos, two chroma-keyers for background switching, and two media players supporting MP4 videos, PNG/JPG images, and WAV audio from 24GB of internal storage. Multiview displays programme and preview feeds, live inputs, scene and media thumbnails, audio mixer status, recording and storage information, runtime, date, and time details. Create up to five complex scenes with multiple video, media, and graphic layers while switching between four 1080p60 sources, including three HDMI and one USB-C input.

Flexible Connectivity and Audio Integration

The RODECaster Video Core supports up to four NDI inputs and one output through Ethernet for network cameras and PTZ operation. Its multifunction USB-C port connects webcams, capture cards, and other UVC video sources, while also supporting RODE USB microphones and integration with RODECaster Pro II or Duo systems. Two studio-grade combo XLR-1/4" inputs feature Revolution Preamps with low-noise, high-gain performance, providing up to 76 dB input gain and -131.5 dBV equivalent input noise. Record H.264/AVC MP4 programme feeds with embedded AAC stereo audio, capture multiple audio tracks as nine independent stereo WAV files, and export EDL files for DaVinci Resolve with switch points, transitions, media, overlays, and timeline data included. The RODE Capture app also transforms an iPhone into a high-quality podcast camera, enabling dual-camera streaming directly from a mobile device.
