The lens features two elements made of Special Low Dispersion Glass (SLD) and one element with a high rate of anomalous partial dispersion and a high index of refraction. The optical system minimises sagittal coma flare for excellent image quality without streaking - even at a wide-open aperture. The Hyper Sonic Motor in the Sigma 85mm F1.4 DG HSM Art Lens for Sony E-Mount provides 1.3 times the torque of its predecessor. Even at low speeds, it delivers extraordinarily stable performance, and the updated AF algorithm helps ensure nimble autofocus performance. A full-time manual focus override permits the lens to be switched to manual focus just by rotating the focus ring - even during continuous AF. More of its great feature, this lens bokeh effect is precise, you can focus on the pupil of the subject’s eye while blurring the eyelashes.
