Technical Details: Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope

The Unistellar eVscope 2 114mm f/4 GoTo Reflector Telescope replaces the traditional eyepiece with a digital eyepiece featuring a micro OLED display. Its low-light sensitive imaging sensor, onboard processing computer, and integrated Wi-Fi module allow views of celestial objects to be streamed directly to phones and tablets. A fast automatic alignment system and light pollution filter software ensure that users spend more time observing the night sky and less time setting up, making this telescope ideal for educators and astronomy clubs, as it can stream to up to ten devices simultaneously.

Advanced Optical Tube

The eVscope 2's optical tube combines a visual eyepiece for traditional observation with a digital system for tablet or smartphone viewing. Its integrated Nikon digital eyepiece uses a micro OLED display to simulate a conventional telescope experience, providing enhanced colour, contrast, and comfortable eye relief. The telescope delivers 50 times optical power, with digital magnification up to 400 times, a 34 by 47 arcminute field of view, and a 4.5-inch primary mirror with a fast f/4 focal ratio for bright, clear imaging. Its compact reflector design produces a longer effective focal length while remaining portable for off-grid observation.

High-Resolution Imaging System

Equipped with a 7.7MP IMX347 imaging sensor, the eVscope 2 gathers incoming light and processes it on-board to deliver detailed and accurate views, even in areas with heavy light pollution. Its Autonomous Field Detection system automatically aligns and tracks objects by recognising the star field overhead, eliminating the need for polar alignment or finderscopes. Light pollution filter software further enhances clarity, and 64GB of onboard memory allows storage of up to 35 hours of images.

Intuitive App Control

The eVscope 2 integrates with the Unistellar app, available on iOS and Android devices, which requires iOS 12 or Android 6 or higher, touchscreen, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Up to ten devices can connect simultaneously to share the observation experience, making it perfect for classrooms or community events. The app features a database of over 5000 celestial objects, complete with recommendations, information, and statistics, and allows users to observe from the comfort of home in any season.

Motorised Mount and Tripod

The telescope is mounted on a motorised alt-azimuth system that automatically tracks celestial objects while also allowing user input via the app. Its three-stage aluminium tripod features secure snapping leg locks, and an integrated bullseye bubble level ensures stability and accurate setup in any location.

Reliable Power for Extended Observation

An integrated rechargeable battery provides up to ten hours of runtime, supporting extended sessions under the night sky. The combination of digital imaging, advanced optics, automatic tracking, and portable design makes the eVscope 2 a versatile telescope for both educational settings and dedicated stargazers seeking high-quality observations in urban or remote locations.
