This Single Lens Kit displays all camera and lens products in excellent working condition, but shows some signs of general wear and tear. Included in this kit is a Sony A7 with shutter count 545, Sony FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS lens with lens hood and front and rear lens caps. Also included is a battery, AC adaptor, USB cable, strap and user manuals.
The first thing that struck me about this camera was that it was so compact and lightweight! I’m used to a Canon 5D Mk iv, so in comparison the Sony A7 is nice and light.
I naturally shoot a lot of urban and street photography, as well as night long exposures, so that is primarily what I’ve been able to test with this camera. One of the first shoots I used this camera on was for an Astro shoot. The resulting images were so sharp and so far, my most liked image on social media. The menu system was a bit challenging to get my head around and I needed a lot of assistance with setting up, but once it was set up, I could change the settings easily.
Overall, I’ve enjoyed having the Sony for a few months and I have definitely enjoyed it’s low-light capabilities and small size. I work professionally as a sports photographer, so I won’t be switching to this Sony any time soon, but it’s great as a second camera, that’s smaller and easier to carry around.
